Basic Seitai / total care
ALIGNMENT CAREBasic Seitai / total care
What is this course?
Basic Seitai is the core of Chikurindo Seitai Clinic.
We call it “total care” because it covers almost every kind of pain, numbness and discomfort, and even poor sleep and symptoms thought to be psychological. The only exceptions are pain right after an injury and pain from wounds or trauma.
Our seitai is not just about feeling refreshed. By rebuilding the best environment for your body, we aim for a state where you move easily and without pain.
⚠️Adjustments can sometimes be a little painful.
If you would like a soothing massage, please consider our relaxation menu.
Does this sound familiar?
- At your desk, your shoulders creep up and your breathing gets shallow without you noticing
- In the morning, you feel a heavy ache in your lower back the moment you get out of bed
- Even after a massage, your shoulders start to stiffen again on the way home
- Your posture in the mirror (hunched back, rounded shoulders) disappoints you
- Going down stairs, you feel a twinge or something off in your knees
It may be a sign that your alignment
is off
Basic Seitai / basic
Treatment time: about 40 min
Assessment pinpoints the painful areas and the problem fascial lines. We do not focus much on where it actually hurts, because we believe it is best to bring the whole body into balance so it moves smoothly, rather than only treating the painful spot. Ideal if you feel stiff and are not moving well.
Basic Seitai / premium
Treatment time: about 70 min
The same approach as basic, with more time to make your whole body move easily. With more time for each technique, pain and discomfort ease considerably and your body feels reborn. Even a very stiff body starts to move remarkably well, which can be the turning point out of pain.
[Notes for your first visit and your symptoms]
On your first visit, the consultation and assessment take time, so the actual treatment may be a little shorter. Thank you for understanding.
* In the acute stage with strong inflammation, moving the area carelessly can delay recovery, so we may give first-aid care only or recommend seeing an orthopedic doctor.
What happens in a session?
There are three main phases
Assessment
Whatever your symptoms, we start by checking your usual posture: how you stand, where your weight sits, and whether your pelvis tilts forward or back. Specific tests show which fascial lines have adhesions. We move your arms and legs widely for you, checking the weight you hold and any awkwardness in movement, to find the problems precisely.
Working on the problems
Based on the assessment, we combine the following three techniques.
Activating deep-muscle nerves + the kinetic chain
Proprioception(the sense that tells you how your body is moving) gets the right input, which activates the nerves. Deep muscles in particular are rarely used in daily life, so their nerve signals tend to weaken. Resistance exercises, a bit like strength training, wake up those sleeping deep muscles.

Spinal adjustment
We check and adjust the spine at the same time. No cracking like chiropractic: we use light, sustained pressure. A heavy arm suddenly lifts with ease, so it is one of my favorite adjustments to do.

Releasing myofascial adhesions
Inflammation from muscle fatigue or damage causes adhesions around it and blocksfascial gliding(the ability of fascia layers to slide smoothly over each other). This causes chronic stiffness and pain. Working with the connections across six layers of fascia, we gently release the adhesions and restore natural movement.

Re-check and review
After each technique, we check the result together: is it easier to move, how is the pain? When you clearly feel and notice the change yourself, your body changes for the better more easily. This re-check is an essential step in seitai.
Why does the pain
show up “there”?
Where it hurts is only the result. What we care about is the background: why did a problem need to appear there?
The body tries to make up for a part that is not working by using other parts. Behind pain in one area there is always a true cause, such as reduced gliding from fascial adhesions, a broken kinetic chain, or blocked signals.
Our seitai is not local symptom relief. We find and remove those causes across the whole-body network. By returning the entire system to how it should move, we rebuild a better environment where your body no longer needs to produce pain.
The days ahead
Getting rid of the problem is not the goal,
it is the start of a new everyday life

Deep rest, fresh mornings
With your autonomic nervous system balanced, you wake up feeling truly rested.
Lasting focus
No longer distracted by discomfort, you can lose yourself in work and hobbies.

You look up, and people start telling you your posture looks great.
Recommended custom sessions
Freely combine menus with seitai as the base
① + Body care
[Recommended: 90–120 min]
Seitai for the pain, and massage for the rest of the time. With 60 minutes, many people find the body care part a little short. 90 minutes or more leaves plenty of time for massage, so adjust the length to your liking.
② + Head spa & hot stone therapy
[Recommended: 90–120 min]
After adjusting the body, calm the autonomic nervous system. Spending the rest of the time on head & face and hot stone therapy adds a warm, unhurried time you may fall asleep in. A superb set that relaxes body and mind.
